Gilles Bisson says the Liberals $40 billion hydro borrowing scheme will cost them, and Ontarians, into the future.
Bisson, the NDP MPP for Timmins-James Bay, says the Liberals decision to have OPG borrow $40 billion to help lower hydro bills, without creating a visible debt, will hurt Ontarians in the long run.
He says the province will be spending an additional $4 billion due to the Liberals willingness to hide their $40 billion scheme.
Bisson says that $4 billion could have been put to use on many important issues for Ontarians.
Auditor General Bonnie Lysyk announced last Tuesday that she estimates the Liberals Fair Hydro Plan could cost Ontarians an additional $4 billion in interest charges over the next 30 years.
