North Centennial Manor joins registered nurses best practicing program

North Centennial Manor is one of 17 health organizations from the province in Mississauga today for the launch of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario best practices spotlight program.

Manor registered nurse Julie Lalande says the program improves the quality of care for the residents.

“It will allow them to exercise their preferences to bring their lifestyle into the home and make an impact,” she said. “North Centennial Manor does provide a home setting and it is their home.”

Lalande says the event permits the manor to celebrate being a member of the program and also network with other healthcare organizations.

“So we are getting experience and an open dialogue, about what some of the difficulties were and how they met those challenges,” she said.

Manor staff will be using the guidelines over the next three years and evaluate their success.
