Henry and Ganuk Finally Meet Face-to-Face

The Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat, after months of preparation has finally introduced its two residents, Henry and Ganuk, to each other.

Manager of the habitat Karen Cummings says the facility had all hands on deck preparing for the worst-case-scenario in the event the two polar bears didn’t get along.

Timmins Animal Hospital, staff and even world renowned Animal Behaviourist JoAnne Simerson were a part of the meeting.

Cummings says fortunately none of the emergency measures were needed as the 900 and 700-pound new room-mates got along almost immediately.
