Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus is garnering support from northern communities to fight high gas prices.
Angus says multiple municipalities have sent letters into the Competition Bureau, asking for the prices to be investigated.
Angus says the price of gas affects every family in northern Ontario, and the more support for investigation the better.
He says there is always an excuse as to why the prices are so much higher in the north than the south.
Angus says the message that comes from working with all of the municipalities is to have the Competition Bureau step in, look at the issue, and assure Northerners they won’t be ripped off any more.
