The Kapuskasing EDC says it’s on pace in its plans to create a secure medical marijuana facility located at the Kapuskasing airport.
From Economic Development, Andre Robichaud says the demonstration farm is an example of how beneficial the research field can be in the Northeast.
He says the facility would mean jobs for residents, not just in research but also in administration.
Robichaud says as many as 60 jobs will be created at the facility for residents, that makes the project a priority for the EDC.
There are currently 60 cows, over 300 sheep and two-dozen pigs at the Demonstration Farm and Robichaud says things are on pace for the EDC’s planned expansions.
