The Sensenbrenner Hospital Foundation is inching slowly to wrapping up fundraising for the Dialysis Unit project. Manager Mireille Dubosq the foundation has collected more than $323,600 thus far but remains just over 148,000 short of its target.
“We looked at donations that will be coming in on a yearly basis,” she said. “We’re going to be providing the 50-50 net profit from each event, and we also have a golf tournament coming up.”
She adds it’s not too late to make a donation to support the project.
“They can organize events on their own, they can have fundraisers on their own, and donate the proceeds to the foundation,” she said. “They can create a casual Friday fund so there are a lot of ways people can get involved.”
That golf tournament will be held on Thursday, July 25 at the Kap Golf Club.
A private entrance, paved parking area, generator and a fire monitoring system are on the list of improvements to the current unit at the hospital.
