Fundraising for a new panda warmer to help newborns at Sensenbrenner Hospital is now complete. Foundation project manager Mireille Dubosq says over $46,500 was collected in a number of ways over two months including the successful Moose FM Community Cares Radiothon.
“The 50-50 and definitely the support from very generous donors in the community so that means individual businesses, couples, families all came together to complete the fundraising,” she said.
Dubosq says local healthcare has been top of mind for many people since the onset of the pandemic and that’s spurred on the foundation’s efforts.
She adds now the focus quickly pivots to the next item, a portable ultrasound device.
“Our 50-50 is going to be drawn on February 23, and we’re pretty much expecting the net profit from that event to cover the entire amount,” she said.
