UPDATE: Five more cases — two in Timmins, two between Smooth Rock Falls and Matheson, and one more on the coast. Total now since the arrival of the pandemic now 1,206.
Another 29 new cases of COVID-19 give the Porcupine Health Unit a total of 1,201 since the pandemic began.
Eighteen of today’s cases are in Timmins. Nine are up on the coast and two are in the area between Smooth Rock Falls and Matheson.
Forty-five cases are now considered resolved, bringing the number of current active cases to 311.
