Student hiring practices could be discussed further in the future as last summer the town of Kapuskasing failed to fill two positions due to lack of applicants.
Councilor Dave Plourde says the current retention for regular student employee is only two years, mostly over the summer months.
Council discussed the potential of extending that to four years, in order to help students who want to return to Kap and work within their community.
Councilors agreed it would help with students returning from studies to Kap who want to work within their community.
The discussion could be included in the agenda moving forward.
