Kapuskasing could have a new seniors’ home in the future.
Extendicare has sent an application to the Ministry of Long Term Care to expand and redevelop the current 60-bed facility in Kapuskasing to include an additional 68 beds.
Extendicare officials told Moose FM News that the company is committed to replacing or upgrading every older-long term care home in its network, and looks forward to continued discussions with the province over the redevelopment plans. The Kapuskasing Extendicare facility was built in the 1970s.
