Precautions are taking place by the Town of Kapuskasing in hopes of reducing the spread of COVID-19. The Town announced a reduction or cancellation of services late Monday afternoon in a press release. Municipal officials suggested that all businesses and organizations limit or suspend any large public gatherings until further notice. The Town has announced the Civic Centre counter service is discontinued until further notice, and all programs at Donat Brousseau and the Sports Palace are cancelled. The Golden Age Centre’s Wednesday lunches, yoga and fitness classes are suspended until further notice. The Kapuskasing Public Library, Welcome Centre, Public Works Building and the Fire Department are closed to public access. The Kapuskasing Airport remains open for current operations.
