The confirmed presence of the Delta variant has the Porcupine Health Unit encouraging more people to get a second vaccination with a different vaccine than the first one.
It’s been proven safe and helps speed up getting second doses into more arms.
It’s also extended the different-second-dose option to anyone whose first is AstraZeneca.
In addition, PHU says it will start rolling out more Moderna shots this week in Timmins, moving out into the rest of its region on June 21st.
