Local New Democrats have nominated Carol Hughes for re-election in the upcoming federal election. The meeting was held this weekend in Elliot Lake. MPP Michael Mantha says Hughes is a great MP who works hard for Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing. Hughes has represented the area for more than six years, and says she hopes the voters send her back to Ottawa. The election is expected in mid-October.
