About 40 seniors in our area are expected to be helped through the secret santa campaign that got underway on Monday. Desiree Beaudette of the Centre De Sante in Kapuskasing says the first step if you would like to help out is to contact either their office or any Caisse Alliance location.
“The gift should be a $40 value and the senior gives a few suggestions of what kind of gift they want,” she said. “Once you go and get your gift you can bring it back to the Caisse Alliance by December 11th.
Beaudette says the program is a great way to give some seniors a boost during the holiday season.
“We know that a lot of seniors are isolated at home and a lot get lonely during the Christmas and holiday season,” she said. “By buying a little something for a senior you can make sure you can brighten their holiday season and put a smile on a senior’s face.”
