When it comes to provincial ridings there’s good and bad news. The good news is that the province won’t follow the feds by reducing the number of ridings from 11 down to 10. The bad news is that the north’s influence at Queen’s Park will be further diminished. That’s because 15 new seats are being added following a re-distribution of ridings and all of those seats are in the south. Ottawa, Toronto, Peel, York and Durham are all getting more seats.
