For over 25 years Kapuskasing has been hosting the annual Festival of Lights and the tradition continues next weekend. The town is transforming Riverside Park into a winter wonderland with thousands of lights and decorations to help set the mood for the holiday season.
Special Events Coordinator for the town, Kelly Kraby, says this is something people look forward to every year and she hopes to ensure the the festival continues to be Kapuskasing’s most impressive winter holiday tradition for years to come.
The festival will get started with the Santa Parade leaving from Knowles Building Centre November 19th at 6:30pm and the official lighting ceremony will take place shortly after.
There will also be horse drawn sleigh rides, scavenger hunts, singing and a massive bonfire with hot chocolate.
