Officers with the James Bay detachment have noticed a trend in certain types of crimes. Last month the OPP responded to 39 violent crimes in the surrounding area. Staff Sergeant Baldassare Nuccio with the James Bay detachment says with the help of an analyst they can determine a pattern in certain crimes.
The James Bay OPP responded to 1161 calls last month. The stats show that of those calls the highest number was in Provincial offences which totaled 565 charges.
Officers throughout the James Bay detachment area also completed 1527 hours of road safety and traffic enforcement.
