Residents were evacuated from their homes and part of Riverside Drive was blocked off as a fire tore through Gaston’s in Kapuskasing. Emergency crews were called to the scene Friday night and were still putting water on the building the following day. Ashes and burned remains of bikes and other equipment are all that’s left where Gaston’s used to be.
Fire crews were able to contain the blaze keeping it from spreading to the buildings next door. Crews unsure at this point exactly what caused the fire but the investigation continues.
Due to the hard work from emergency crews from around the area nobody was hurt during the fire.
