Ontario Parks 30×30 Challenge

Ontario Parks has launched a new challenge to spend more time in nature. The 30X30 nature challenge encourages people to spend at least 30 minutes a day in nature, for 30 days. The Ontario government and Ontario Parks is challenging people across the province to spend more time outside to develop new healthy habits. The challenge begins in August.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry say research shows that interacting with nature is good for both physical and mental health. A spokesperson from the ministry says spending time in one of Ontario’s beautiful parks is great way to connect with nature and stay healthy. Last year Ontario provincial parks received almost $10-million visitors from around the world which brought in over $80-million dollars in revenue.

There are more than 300 provincial parks across the province.  If you’re looking for a change of scenery the Ontario Parks locator tool makes it easy to find a provincial park nearby.
