Highway 11 had a busy long weekend as almost the entire northern corridor had been closed at one point.
On Friday afternoon a three-foot sinkhole opened between Strickland and Smooth Rock Falls, delaying traffic by two hours.
Early Sunday morning two tractor trailers collided head-on just outside of Cochrane, closing the highway for six hours.
And late Monday afternoon, forest fires broke out in an area spanning from Hearst to Longlac, with the Highway re-opening late yesterday morning.
