Police: Safe Driving Near School Buses over the Winter Months

Police are asking the public to be even more careful around school buses over the winter months.

Police say it’s important to keep a safe distance away from a stopped school bus as soon as the red lights on top begin flashing.

The fines for passing a school bus during its stop signal flashing can be up to $2,000 and six demerit points.

Last week Staff Sergeant Baldassare Nuccio from the OPP shared winter driving safety tips which can be found here.
