Hearst town council will get another look at the 2025 budget tomorrow night at a special meeting.
Administrator Eric Picard says a proposed four per cent tax increase will be presented that’s down from the 9.5 per cent hike that council turned down last week.
He adds staff was asked to go through the numbers and make more adjustments to bring the increase more manageable for residents. Last year a 6.5 per cent levy was approved.
