The Northern Corridor Chamber of Commerce’s shop local campaign received a major boost from one of the area’s big employers.
GreenFirst Forest Products in Kapuskasing and in Hearst provided $50 in chamber bucks to each of its employees, for a combined $29,250. That’s $21,000 in Kapuskasing and $8,250 in Hearst.
GreenFirst Human Resources Generalist Kimberly Woodland says the chamber’s shop local program is a way to contribute to the area economy and the company encourages other businesses to join them.
