Crows blamed for power interruptions in Kap

You could say “natural causes” knocked electricity out to Kapuskasing twice in the past few days.

Northern Ontario Wires general manager Marc Bélanger says crows faulted the lines, shutting off power for a about three hours, beginning around 8:00am Sunday,  and a couple hours starting at 7:00am Tuesday.

Roughly 2,500 customers were affected on Sunday, and only 50 Tuesday morning.

It’s impossible to determine the nationality of the birds, but the official term for what they did is “foreign interference”.
