Our neighbouring riding now has their Conservative candidate.
John Curley will be running for MP for Timmins-James Bay, which shares the Cochrane region with the Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing riding.
Curley served for almost 25 years in Timmins City Council and is the chair of the Timmins Non-Profit Housing Corporation.
He’ll be running against NDP incumbent Charlie Angus, the Liberals’ Todd Lever and Max Kennedy of the Green Party.
A Green Party candidate for the Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing riding has still yet to be named.
The general election is set to be held Monday, October 19th.
