Ontario Provincial Police recruitment campaign stops in Hearst on May 15

The Ontario Provincial Police’s recruitment program makes a stop at the Hearst detachment on Monday, May 15 from 1-3 pm.

Northeast recruiter Constable Julie Vienneau says it’s a great opportunity for anyone from across the region who wants to learn more about becoming an officer.

“You are welcome to prepare a list of questions that you might have and I will do my best to answer all of them,” she said. “You should bring a friend or family member or anyone they know who may have an interest in a career with the OPP.”

Vienneau says this event will have a similar feel too other ones held in the region.

“And this one will have local officers at the Hearst detachment to speak about their experiences and their knowledge,” she said. “All of the officers have a different fingerprint in the OPP and this career can have endless opportunities.”

No pre-registration is needed, but a photo ID is required to enter the OPP building.
