41st Terry Fox Run in Kapuskasing on Sunday, Sept.19

The 41st Terry Fox Run in Kapuskasing on Sunday, Sept. 19 will be virtual for a second straight year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year close to $5,000 was raised in the community. Organizer Sue Renaud says that included people dropping by her booth to make a donation on the day of the event.

“Probably close to $1,000 in person on the actual day,” she said. “People came with cash or cheques and filled out a pledge form to get a tax receipt. So the traditional way of donating is still there. I’ll be there outside and I welcome everyone to come by.“

Renaud says one change this year is that QR codes have been added to the lawn signs and posters.

“Scan specifically the QR code and it will take you directly to the Terry Fox website and your donation will count towards the total for Kapuskasing,” she said. “So look for those QR code signs on the lawn signs and the posters that I’ll put up around town.”

You can also make a secure donation and find out further information regarding the Terry Fox Run through this link.
