We could get our first look at the new welcome sign for Kapuskasing tonight.
Town Council is expected to review and approve the new sign during the meeting at 6 pm. The new sign will be built near the hill by Kapuskasing Golf Club. The current welcome sign will be removed when new owners take over the former Chamber of Commerce offices.
Council is also expected to give town staff the go ahead to apply for funding from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Community Enhancement Program to fix up the Sports Palace.
