Moonbeam is ready to join Kapuskasing in celebration spirt. Planning is underway to mark Moonbeam’s 100th birthday in 2022. Community Services and Economic Development Officer Denik Dorval says there’s a video information session set for next Thursday, May 27 at 8 pm.
“A big celebration we want to have all year long,” he said. “We hope everyone is going to be vaccinated so we can have actual activities in person. We are also planning hybrid activities, so if the pandemic continues we can still celebrate this great anniversary.”
Dorval says it’s important to include Moonbeam’s past, present and future.
“We are headed towards a very interesting future,” he said. “We have a few houses for sale in Moonbeam so there’s lots of people moving in to our beautiful community. So we also want to focus on the future of Moonbeam.”
