Three long time doctors in Kapuskasing will be honored next month in a special way. The Kapuskasing Rotary Club is holding a Doctor’s Gala and CT Scan Fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Centre De Loisirs. Co-organizer Louise Thompson says they will be thanking Dr. Femi Ayeni, Dr. Robert Ng-A-Fook and Dr. Claude Boucher for all they have done.
“We know that northern communities like Kapuskasing always have a hard time attracting doctors,” Thompson said. “We are blessed to have these three doctors stay this long.”
Thompson said people who attend the gala are welcome to share their stories and memories of the doctors.
“We know our doctors were involved in fundraisers themselves because they are part of the community,” she added. “It gives you a chance to be thankful.”
Tickets are $100 and available at Spacek’s or from any Rotary Club member.
