Kapuskasing will be making some changes to a few of their old tennis courts.
Town council has agreed to approve the transformation of the Montcalm Tennis Courts into Pickleball Courts.
The town received a $25,000 grant from Employment and Social Development Canada under the New Horizons for Seniors program.
Thanks to this grant, council has chosen to re-purpose their out of date tennis courts for their senior population’s use.
Kapuskasing is being asked to simply contribute through the reparation of the courts for re-surfacing along with providing supervision of contractors.
Town council estimates the total cost of the project at $24,700.
