Hockey, hockey, and you guessed it, more hockey is coming to Kapuskasing.
The town will be the proud hosts this weekend of the Ontario Hockey Federation Pewee “A” Championship.
The top team from the Ontario Minor Hockey Association, Northern Ontario Hockey Association and Alliance Hockey Association join the Icehawks in the competition starting Friday.
This will be the third minor hockey championship hosted by Kapuskasing this year.
Former NHLer Darren Turcotte, currently coach of Nipissing University’s women’s hockey team, will be a celebrity guest speaker at the tournament.
The championship tourney runs from Friday, April 7th through Sunday, April 9th.
