The Northern Ontario School of Medicine has nine new members on their Board of Directors.
The appointment came at last week’s Board of Directors meeting. Before the official meeting all of the members were invited to an orientation that looked at technology and communications at NOSM and tours of both campuses.
The addition of the new members marks the end of a three year transition period for the school that saw changes to the boards size and composition. The new structure will include 19 board members that understand the importance of Indigenous, Francophone and rural/remote communities.
The NOSM is committed to the education of high quality physicians and healthcare professionals. The nine new members were chosen from a list of over 30.
