Thanks to a grant from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation, the Smooth Rock Falls Hospital was able to hire a Coordinator of Fundraisers.
Born and raised in Northern Ontario, Chantal Dussault knows the importance of local economic development for health care services in small communities.
As the Fundraiser Coordinator, Dussault says she will be in charge of raising money for the hospital to help replace old equipment.
Dussault says the hospital in Smooth Rock Falls serves residents from Cochrane to Kapuskasing and even some from Timmins since they don’t have to wait as long to get in for an appointment.
Dussault was hired by the Smooth Rock Falls Hospital last month.
