Work is set to begin on Riverside Drive beginning next week for emergency maintenance on a collapsed sewer.
The town’s CAO Yves Labelle says crews will be moving fast on the intersection meeting McPherson as it will be closed for three days.
Manager of Public Works Eric Cote expressed his concerns over the project as a water main must also be moved to get to the sewer.
The aging sewer system is over 50 years old in that area.

Crews will have to change all of the sewage and water infrastructure in order for it to meet provincial standards over the course of the three week project.
While the closure should only last three days, commuters in town can expect delays after that, as work continues.
