The OPP is encouraging the public to get rid of unused or out-of-date prescription medication and is helping them to do it.
On May 21st, detachments across the north including Hearst, Kapuskasing, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls and Kirkland Lake will all serve as collection locations.
The OPP says prescription drug addiction and misuse is a big issue for both policing and in healthcare.
The drop off day is set up as a no-questions-asked initiative to help improve the safety and health of all northerners.
