Kapuskasing town council has made the recommendation to join Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus’ fight against northern fuel prices.
While council didn’t have a lengthy meeting, it certainly was a significant one.
This comes as the provincial budget was released last week, with just as many benefits as downfalls for the north.
The cap-and-trade system will mean gas prices are going to rise by as much as 4.5 cent per litre in the near-future.
Both FONOM and NEOMA are behind the MP in confronting the Competition Bureau on the matter.
