The Miss Kapuskasing Pageant is ramping up and will be accepting applications until January 21st.
One of the organizers, Lori-Ann Ormany Duguay says it’s a long process and contestants are evaluated in many different categories.
She says characteristics like confidence, humility and deference are looked at closely.
She says the winners and the contestants are ambassadors for the town.
The criteria for contestants is they must be between the ages of 16 and 20 and enrolled in high school or post-secondary in Kapuskasing.
The pageant is set for February 25th at the Centre De Loisirs.
