More phone scams have been reported by residents in the Northeast.
Timmins police and the OPP say this time around the caller poses as a member of the CRA claiming back taxes need to be paid on properties.
Police say the callers are threatening residents with property seizure if they don’t pay, stealing their banking information in the process.
The OPP says never give any confidential information out over the phone under any circumstances.
