Two of the 31 inductees into the Hockey North Hall of Fame in its second year are from our region.
Denis Puska is being honoured for his many years of mostly unsung involvement in hockey. He currently does live stream play-by-play for the Hearst Lumberjacks. His day job is morning show host and news reporter for Moose FM in Kapuskasing.
Timmins native Brandon Perry is also on the list. After coaching the Timmins Majors U18 team, he moved up to the Timmins Rock, winning the league championship in 2023.
Perry is now the coach of the Golden Gaels at Queen’s University in Kingston – his alma mater.
