Town of Smooth Rock Falls gets infrastructure funding

More than $1.6 million is being given to the town of Smooth Rock Falls to fix up sixth street this summer.

The money is from the province’s infrastructure program and will help reeplace the water main and sewer system.

Mayor Patrick Roberts says the money supports future growth of the community and ensures the water and sewer system is safe and reliable.

Construction is expected to start this summer.
