Regional ringette tournament March 27-29

Bragging rights are on the line March 27th to 29th, when the Timmins Ringette Association hosts the regional championship for house league teams.

Treasurer Sue Viel says 35 teams from as far away as Sault Ste. Marie will compete.

They start at three years old.

“So it starts with the Fun 2 division, which is our bunny division and then it goes up to 18+, which is our open division, which is ladies,” Viel outlines.

“We have four arenas booked, so it will be the Sportsplex, the Mac, Whitney and Mountjoy.”

It’s for bragging rights only. There is no provincial tournament at this level.

Viel says there’s no admission charge. She hopes people come to see the games and decide to become involved in some capacity.
