More affordable housing could be coming to Smooth Rock Falls in the near future. Town council approved that a letter of engagement be signed with Descon Construction for Community housing during a recent meeting.Â
Mayor Patrick Roberts says the decision represents an important milestone for the town as they work to address housing needs. Roberts adds that they hope to have the project shovel ready by the end of next year.
A public meeting is set for next month for residents to learn more about the plan and provide their feedback. Â
