The English public school board covering Hearst to Temagami has passed a balanced budget for 2025.
It includes operating expenditures of $162,894,070 and capital expenses of $18,877,078 for school condition improvements and renewal.
The total staffing complement for District School Board Ontario North East is 1,105.7 full-time equivalents.
Projected enrolment for the next school year is almost 7,180 students in 30 schools: 20 elementary, nine secondary and one adult education program.
