The town of Moonbeam is ready to help mark Canada’s birthday next Tuesday with activities for young and old alike. Communications and Community Services Coordinator Marie-Soleil Veilleux says some of the events will kick off about noon.
“The bouncy castles are from noon till 4 and the live music 1-4 and it’s going to be a new band homegrown from Kapuskasing Brendon Girouard, and it’s going to be country music and we have fireworks at 10 pm. We are very very excited about that. Everyone loves good fireworks and we’re very happy to bring that back in to our community.”
It’s Girouard’s second trip back north having played at the St. Jean Festival earlier this month. Several other events are being put together by other organizations including a beach volleyball tournament, artists market and a youth washer tournament.
