Changes for the next two weeks at Warm Belly Kitchen in Kap

There are changes on the way to the kitchen at the Kapuskasing Indian Friendship Centre that the Warm Belly Kitchen uses to prepare the weekly meals.

Coordinator Amanda Rickard says the area will be getting a facelift with paint and new counters. She adds this will force changes over the next several weeks.

“This June 12 we will be enjoying our lunch of the park instead,” she said. “It’s going to be a brown bag lunch in the park and is going to be a great time for the community to get together and enjoy the great outdoors that is Kapuskasing.”

Rickard says the menu includes sandwiches, veggie sticks and anything you would find in a brown bag lunch.

“We are going to work around it to the best of our ability, however on June 19th please be aware that there will be no lunch as the final touches will be put on the renovations and we will be spending that time putting the kitchen back together,” she said.
