The PHU, the Northeast Cancer Care Centre and local salons teamed up for the Stylists Save Lives campaign.
It’s all part of breast cancer awareness month which saw 11 salons including Vision Hair Design in Kapuskasing coming together.
The PHU says the goal is to provide information on the Ontario Breast Screening Program, the Colon Cancer Check and cervical screening.
Over the course of the month many other healthcare organizations such as HSN and the Northeast LHIN have teamed up to raise awareness as well.
