North Claybelt launches community clean up program this week

North Claybelt Community Futures Development Corporation is teaming up with several local businesses for a clean Kapuskasing event all next week. Spokesperson Trista Larochelle says residents have an opportunity to win prizes buy posting photos of themselves picking up trash or the bags they’ve collected to the corporation’s Facebook page.

She adds there are supplies available for those who need it.

“So if you register with North Claybelt by sending an email to [email protected] and with that registration I’ll send you an email communication back and we will drop off garbage bags, and plastic gloves to make sure everyone is safe,” she said.

Larochelle says she’s been visit school all week inviting them to participate in the event.

Any participating classes post a photo it doesn’t necessarily have to be of the participants but of the garbage bags or the clean grounds,” she said. “And every participating class will be entered into that draw to win a free pizza lunch.”
