Human remains have been found in the Mattagami River.
Timmins Police say they received a call on Thursday afternoon about the remains, which were found in the Sandy Falls area.
Police are saying they think the body has been in the water for a long time.
They are now reviewing all outstanding missing persons files.
Foul play is not suspected.
The body will be sent to Toronto for a post-mortem, to determine cause of death and identity.
