Kap Library needs public support for new grant application

The Kapuskasing Public Library is looking for your help to support a grant application to replace its nearly 10 year old public computers.

The Library has applied for the Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group’s LEAF program. CEO Julie Latimer says they’re looking for comments from those who have benefited from the technology over the years.

“To say yes they have used the computers and that it’s very slow and that the library needs this and it’s for everybody who ever needs to use a computer to print to do studying. We’ll have the most up to date technology so we do need the public to put in a good word for the application.”

Latimer says the public computers are widely used by patrons for a variety of activities from research to school work.

“This is very important for both customer service on our end and then to have patrons who use our computers have the fastest the most up to date technology and programs to make their visit to the library enjoyable.”

You can visit the Library’s facebook page for the link and comments in support of the grant are accepted until November 8th.
